The project aims to support SSEA in successfully positioning Somali seafood as a premium, sustainable choice in the global marketplace, attracting international buyers, and creating a strong reputation for Somalia’s seafood industry.

The purpose of this Service Agreement is to establish a framework for collaboration between SSEA and Probakaal Services Limited to:

1. Assess the impact of the knowledge obtained from technical assistance in developing governance structures and expanding SSEA’s membership. By conducting this assessment, SSEA can identify areas where technical assistance has strengthened its governance and membership strategies and areas where further improvement or support may be needed. This, in turn, informs future initiatives and solidifies SSEA’s role as a leading entity in Somalia’s seafood export sector.
2. Assist SSEA with data analysis and interpretation. This includes collecting quantitative and qualitative data on seafood production, export trends, quality standards, and market demands. By analyzing these data sets, the goal is to identify key patterns, strengths, and areas for improvement within the industry.
3. Partner with SSEA as a research agency and digital technology provider to establish a self-regulatory framework for quality and environmental standards.
